Shelly BLU Motion ZB Device Smart Control

Introduction

In your Shelly Smart Control application, tap on the device to open its control panel. You can use the different tabs to manage the behavior of the device.

Main controls

Use the Main controls tab to view the primary information about your Shelly device. ​

The information includes:

  • Real-time battery level

  • Illuminance level - Dark, Twilight, or Bright

  • List of the latest detected events on your device

  • Last reporter - information about the Shelly device that you selected as a Bluetooth gateway (reporter); date and time of the latest synchronization with the reporter

  • Motion status

Notifications

Use the ​Notifications​​ tab to view the notifications that you received on your Shelly device.

Activity log

Use the ​Activity log​​ tab to view the history of the events on your Shelly device.

Tap on a specific record to view the following data per event:

  • Date and time, with the date in the ​yyyy-mm-dd​​​ format

  • Detected motion:

    • An icon of a walking person indicates that motion was detected.

    • An icon of a stationary person indicates that motion was not detected.

  • Additional information - tap the event to see the Shelly device battery as a percentage, and the light status of the room by the time of the event.

Application settings

Use the Application settings tab to edit the appearance and behavior of the device in the context of your application.

TIP: Remember to tap the Save button to apply your changes.

Device card customization

In the Device card customization subtab, you can customize the big and small parameter slots on the preview card of your Shelly device. After customization, the changes apply everywhere that you see the device in the app.

Customizing card preview

  1. Tap the Customize device card button. There are two types of slots that you can configure:

  • Big Parameter slot: Choose between:

    • None

    • Parameter - from the Parameter type drop-down select the information that you want to view in the big slot.

  • Small Parameter slot: Here you can remove or add parameters that will be displayed in the small parameter slot.

  1. Check the Preview of the device card.

Exclude from activity log

In the Exclude from activity log subtab, turn on the toggle to exclude your device from the global activity log. To see the global activity log, go to the Dashboard > Activity log menu.

Device note

In the ​Device note​​ subtab, you can leave a short note about your Shelly device.

Device usage details

In the ​Device usage details​​ subtab, you can view in which room, dashboard, scenes, alarms, or thermostats the device is in use.

Share

Use the ​Share​ tab to share limited access to your device with another user of the Shelly Smart Control application. Enter the user email address in the field and tap the ​Share​​ button.

View the list of users who already have limited control to your device. You can remove a user by tapping the delete button to the right of the email account.

Device settings

You can use the Device settings tab to view and change the main settings of your Shelly device.

Tip: Remember to tap the Save button to apply your changes.

Prerequisites

By default, the fields in the Device settings tab are inactive. To enable setup mode, you must pair your device with your mobile phone by pressing the button on your Shelly device as per the instructions in your application.

When the pairing is successful, the fields become active for editing.

Toggle controls

Switch the toggle to enable the following device settings:

  • Motion LED - enables the blinking red LED light.

  • Beacon mode - enables the LED light to blink at a fixed interval.

  • Zigbee - enables connection and communication with Zigbee devices.

  • Security - sets a 6-digit pass code to encrypt your device.

Sensitivity

In the Sensitivity subtab, you can set the motion sensitivity of the device. Choose from the following sensitivity levels: Low, Moderate, or High.

Blind time

In the Blind time subtab, you can set the time in seconds after the last detected motion for which no motion will be recorded.

Bright and dark threshold

In the Bright threshold and Dark threshold subtabs, you can set the illuminance value above which the device reports bright conditions, and the value below which it reports dark conditions.

Firmware version

In the Firmware Version subtab, you can view the current firmware version of your Shelly device.

If a newer firmware version is available, you can start the update by tapping the Update button.

Factory reset

IMPORTANT: After factory reset, all associated users, including you, will be removed from the device account. All previously set data will be deleted.

Tap the ​Factory Reset​​ button to reset your Shelly device to its factory settings.

Device Information

YIn the Device information subtab, you can view the Device ID, Device Type, and other important information about your device. Use this information to identify your device when you contact Shelly Support.

You can perform the following actions:

  • ​​Transfer​​ - transfer your device to one of your other accounts. You can see this option only if, at the time of transferring the device, you are also logged in to your other account.

  • ​​Delete​​ - remove the device from your account.
