Pairing Shelly Shutter with Shelly BLU Button Tough 1
This procedure explains how to pair the Shelly Shutter with the Shelly BLU Button Tough 1. You'll learn how to associate button actions (single, double, or triple press) to control covers* and how to remove the associations, if needed.
*The term "cover" refers to various types of roller shutters, blinds, doors, etc.
Prerequisites
The Shelly Shutter must already be installed, powered, and connected to wall switches or buttons for cover control.
The distance between the Shelly Shutter and the Shelly BLU Button Tough 1 must be less than 1.5 m (4.92 ft).
Creating button associations
Activate pairing mode on the Shelly BLU Button by pressing and holding the button for 10 seconds. Upon release, the Device enters pairing mode for 1 minute.
Activate learning mode on the Shelly Shutter:
If a switch is connected to the input, turn the switch ON/OFF 3 times.
If a button is connected to the input, press the button 3 times.
While activating the learning mode, the cover moves and stops 3 times. If the shutter is fully open or closed and the switch is pressed in the same direction, no movement occurs.
Wait for up to 20 seconds until the cover moves briefly. This indicates that the Shelly Shutter enters learning mode, and you can proceed with the association. If the shutter is fully open or closed, no movement occurs.
Perform a single, double, or triple press on the Shelly BLU Button Tough 1 to associate the corresponding button action with the Shelly Shutter. Upon successful association, the cover moves briefly.
You can associate all three button actions with the same Shelly Shutter.
Operation
Each button action of the Shelly BLU Button Tough 1 cycles through the following states in sequence: Open → Stop → Close → Stop etc.
Removing button associations
Activate learning mode on the Shelly Shutter. See Creating Button Associations, Step 2.
Perform a single, double, or triple press on the Shelly BLU Button Tough 1 to remove the corresponding association.
