Setting up Gen3 devices via Matter

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

  • A Matter-compatible hub connected to the Internet.

  • A computer to access the Device’s web interface.

  • A mobile device with Bluetooth enabled and a Matter-compatible app installed.

  1. Install the Device following its user and safety guide.

  2. On your computer, log in to the Device’s web interface.

  3. Connect the Device to your local Wi-Fi network.

    1. In the IconSettings.png Settings menu, select IconWiFi.png Wi-Fi.

    2. From the Network drop-down menu, select your local Wi-Fi.

    3. Click Save settings.

  4. Update the Device with the latest firmware version.

    1. In the IconSettings.png Settings menu, select IconFirmware.png Firmware.

    2. Click Update.

    3. After the update is completed, click Refresh Page Now. A Matter.png Matter menu appears in the navigation panel.

  5. In the Matter.png Matter menu, mark the Enable checkbox, then select Save and Reboot to reboot the Device.

  6. Refresh the page. A QR setup code appears on the screen.

  7. On your mobile device, scan the QR setup code or enter the 11-digit manual code in your Matter-compatible app.

  8. Follow the instructions that appear on your screen to complete the process.
