About Shelly Pro LoRa Add-on
To use the Shelly Pro LoRa Add-on, you must first attach it to another Shelly Pro device that will act as a host. For more information about the compatible Shelly devices, go to the Knowledge Base Add-ons page.
Add-on peripherals
After the Pro LoRa Add-on device is directly attached to the Shelly host device, you can enable the LoRa connectivity in your Shelly Smart Control application by using the Add-on peripherals tab of the host. You can also use the tab to view LoRa status parameters and control the view of the peripheral add-on device.
Enabling Pro LoRa Add-on in Shelly Smart Control
Tap on the host device to open its settings.
Go to the Add-on peripherals tab.
In the Manage add-on feature submenu, select the Lora Add-on option.
Tap the Save and reboot button. Your device will reboot.
Device reboot will briefly interrupt the Wi-Fi connectivity to the host device.
To ensure that the Pro LoRa Add-on firmware is up to date and to perform other LoRa configurations, go to the IP address of the embedded web interface of your host device.
Pro LoRa Add-on status
After you enable the LoRa connectivity, you can view the following status parameters in the Add-on peripherals tab of the host:
Sent - number of bytes sent over LoRa radio frequency (RF) channel
Received - number of bytes received over LoRa RF channel
Air time - time in milliseconds of the transmission time in the last 60 minutes
Showing Pro LoRa Add-on as a separate device
In the Add-on peripherals tab of the host, switch the Extract peripherals as device toggle to show the add-on as a separate device in the application.
When enabled, the add-on is visible in the Devices list as a separate peripheral device. Tap on the device visualization to access the available Pro LoRa Add-on tabs.
Pro LoRa Add-on device settings
The following tabs are available for the Pro LoRa Add-on device if the Extract peripherals as device toggle is switched on.
Device customization
If you want to change the room, name, or picture of your device, tap the edit button next to the device name.
Main controls
You can use the Main controls tab to view the primary status parameters of the Pro LoRa Add-on device.
Notifications
You can use the Notifications tab to view the notifications that you received on your Pro LoRa Add-on device.
Application settings
You can use the Application settings tab to specify the main application settings on your Pro LoRa Add-on device, such as device card customization, usage details, and notes.
Device card customization
In the Device card customization subtab, you can customize the big and small parameter slots on the preview card of your Pro LoRa Add-on device. After customization, the changes apply everywhere that you see the device in the application.
Device note
In the Device Note subtab, you can leave a short note about your Pro LoRa Add-on device.
Device usage details
In the Device usage details subtab, you can view in which room, channel, or dashboard the device is in use.
Share
You can use the Share tab to share limited access to your device with another user of the Shelly Smart Control application. Enter the user email address in the field and tap the Share button.
View the list of users that already have limited control to your device. You can remove a user by tapping the delete button to the right of the email account.
Settings
You can use the Settings tab to view the main settings of your Pro LoRa Add-on device, such as Device ID, Firmware version, Device network, or other.
Deleting device
Tap the Delete button if you want to remove the device from your account. The device will no longer be available, and you need to add it again if you want to use it in future.
Scripts
In the Scripts tab of the host device, you can set up communication between your Shelly devices through LoRa-enabled sender and receiver devices. Use the tab to create new scripts or import scripts from an open library.
All devices must share the same key and configuration in order to communicate with each other. To manage the LoRa keys and configurations of your device, go to its embedded web interface.
Creating scripts using open library
Tap the Open library button. All existing scripts for this device appear on the screen.
Tap the desired script and then tap the Insert code button. The code appears on the screen.
Enter the name of your script and tap the save button. The name of the script must be unique in your list.
After you save the script, you can perform the following actions:

Tap the Create new script button.
Enter the name of your script. The name of the script must be unique in your list.
You have the options to enter your script, go to Shelly API, or choose from different snippets.
