Shelly Door/Window 2 Device Smart Control

Main Controls

Below the Main Controls heading, observe the light status, the Shelly Device battery as a percentage, room temperature, and the date and time of the last measurement.

Observe the room temperature chart at the bottom of this tab, which display the temperatures measured in the last 24 hours. The blue line chart displays the minimum temperature. The red line chart displays the maximum temperature. Tapping on the temperature chart directs you to the Charts page.

Below the temperature chart, observe whether the door is open or closed.

Notifications

If you have Shelly Device notifications, they will appear on this tab. View the number of notifications for this Shelly Device. Tap the X button in the top right corner of the notification box if you wish to delete the notification.

Charts

Temperature

Observe a chart of the room temperature, with the maximum and minimum temperatures. The blue line chart displays the minimum temperature. The red line chart displays the maximum temperature. Above the temperature chart, you can select the time interval and the date from which you want data to be shown. Drag your finger/mouse across the chart to view time specific temperature measurement. Click the blue icon to the right of the date interval, above the chart, and change the displayed chart style.

Click on the expand icon in the top right corner of the Temperature rectangular box if you wish to view the chart in full screen. Below the temperature chart, observe the average, maximum, and minimum temperature values in the specified time range. Below these values, you can click the Export .csv button to download the temperature data as a CSV file.

Activity Log

Observe the recorded history of the Shelly Device events. Tap the dropdown menu to the left of the date and time, and observe Shelly Device measurements. Shelly Device measurements include whether the door is open or closed, Selly Device battery percentage, illumination, light status, and temperature.

Sensor settings

Illumination Definitions

Set illumination values for dark and dusk. Tap Save to save any changes made.

Tilt Functions

Mark the checkbox to enable tilt functions. Tap APPLY to apply any changes made.

Vibration

Mark the checkbox to enable vibration detection (only when the door/window is closed). Adjust the sensor sensitivity by sliding the slide bar left and right. The sensitivity will be shown as a percentage above the slide bar as you drag it. Tap APPLY to apply any changes made.

Wake Up By Lighting

Mark the checkbox to enable wake up when lighting changes. Tap APPLY to apply any changes made.

Reverse Open/Close

Mark the checkbox to reverse open/close logic. Tap APPLY to apply any changes made.

Temperature Units

Select ºC/ºF to be the units shown the temperature on the display.

Temperature Threshold

Enter a value for the threshold temperature change which will cause the Device to wake up and trigger a sensor data report. Tap Save to save any changes made.

Temperature Offset

Set the temperature offset. Depending on the chosen units, enter a value must be between -50°C and 50°C, or -90°F and 90°F. Tap Save to save any changes made.

Actions

For each possible condition, tap the toggle button to enable the condition. Tap the edit icon to add URLs to trigger http endpoints. Tap + Add URL to input up to 5 URLs. Tap the trash icon to the right of a URL to delete it. Tap Save to save any changes made.

Possible conditions are:

  • Sensor reports: Tap + Add URL to add up to 5 URLs to hit when the action is complete. Tap the trash icon if you wish to delete the corresponding URL.

  • Open when dark: Once the edit icon has been tapped, enter a value for “When luminance value is less than” for which to execute the web hook(s). Tap + Add URL to add up to 5 URLs to when the action is complete. Tap the trash icon if you wish to delete the corresponding URL.

  • Open when twilight: Once the edit icon has been tapped, enter a value for “When luminance value is greater than” for which to execute the web hook(s). Tap + Add URL to add up to 5 URLs to hit when the action is complete. Click the trash icon if you wish to delete the corresponding URL.

  • Open when daylight: Tap + Add URL to add up to 5 URLs to hit when the action is complete. Tap the trash icon if you wish to delete the corresponding URL.

  • On close: Tap + Add URL to add up to 5 URLs to hit when the action is complete. Tap the trash icon if you wish to delete the corresponding URL.

  • Vibration detected: Tap + Add URL to add up to 5 URLs to hit when the action is complete. Tap the trash icon if you wish to delete the corresponding URL.

This function requires a working connection to the Internet. Once you have added URLs to the conditions, you can enable/disable an action by tapping the toggle button to the left of the action box. Please note that more than 2 actions can affect the normal operation of the device depending on the network infrastructure and the controlled devices.

Sensor actions

For each possible condition, tap the toggle to enable the condition. Tap the edit icon to add URLs to trigger http endpoints. Tap + Add URL to input up to 5 URLs. Tap the trash icon to the right of a URL to delete it. Tap Save to save any changes made.

Possible conditions are:

  • Temperature over: Once the edit icon has been tapped, enter a value for the 'When temperature over' threshold. When this threshold is surpassed, the web hook(s) will be executed. Add up to 5 URLs to hit when the action is complete. Set the URLs to be executed One time / Repeatedly. Tap Save to save any changes made.

  • Temperature under: Once the edit icon has been tapped, enter a value for the 'When temperature under' threshold. When this threshold is surpassed, the web hook(s) will be executed. Add up to 5 URLs to hit when the action is complete. Set the URLs to be executed One time / Repeatedly. Tap Save to save any changes made.

Actions will be applied when the device wakes up. This function requires a working connection to the Internet. Once you have added URLs to the conditions, you can enable/disable an action by tapping the toggle button to the left of the action box. Please note that more than 2 actions can affect the normal operation of the device depending on the network infrastructure and the controlled devices.

Networks

Wi-Fi

Register Shelly Device to connect to up to 2 different Wi-Fi networks. Either input or select the Wi-Fi network. Can select an open network, and also set a static IP address. Enable Wi-Fi 1, or Wi-Fi 2, or both at the same time. If both Wi-Fi 1 and Wi-Fi 2 are enabled, and Shelly Device disconnects from one of the networks, it will connect to the other. Tap Save to save any changes made.

Access Point

Mark the checkbox to enable this function. Enable to configure Shelly Device to create a Wi-Fi Access Point (AP), to which you can connect. Observe the SSID. Set a password to protect your device’s access point to secure your network from unauthorized access. Mark the checkbox to set the AP it to be an open network. Tap Save to save any changes made.

Wi-Fi reconnect

Tap RECONNECT to connect the Shelly Device to the strongest Wi-Fi network.

Restrict login

Restrict the web interface of the Shelly Device with a username and password. Mark the checkbox to enable this function. Enter a username and password. Tap Save to save any changes made.

Application Settings

Device Card Customization

You can customize both big and small parameter slots on your device’s card. After customization, changes apply everywhere that you see the device in the app. Tap Customize device card to customize device card.

  • Choose to customize the Big Parameter Slot or Small Parameter Slot.

    • Big Parameter Slot:

      • Choose the slot as one of the following: None / Parameter.

      • If you choose the slot content as Parameter, select the parameter type from the dropdown menu.

      • View the preview below.

    • Small Parameter Slot:

      • View the list of Selected Parameters and Additonal Parameters.

      • Tap add + to add the Available Parameters. If you wish to remove a parameter, tap subtract -.

      • Tap the move icon, and drag and drop the parameter to the desired position under Selected Parameters.

      • View the preview below.

  • Tap Save to save any changes made.

Exclude From Activity Log

Tap the toggle to exclude this Shelly Device from the global activity log.

Device Notifications

Click the toggle button next to each of the following notification types to enable them:

  • Enable low battery email notifications.

  • Enable low battery push notifications.

  • Enable offline email notifications.

  • Enable offline push notifications.

Share

Input an email and share control of the Device with another Shelly Smart Control user. The other user will only have access to the Main Controls, Notifications, Charts, and Application Settings tabs, and the Device Information on the Settings tab. The other user cannot see the other device tabs. View which email accounts this Shelly Device has been shared with, and click the delete button to the right of the email account you would like to delete. If a device has been shared with your account, view which account shared the device with you, and click the Remove from my account button if you wish to delete it from your account.

Settings

LED light control

Mark the checkbox to disable device’s LED. Tap Save to save any changes made.

Firmware Version

Shows your current firmware version. Tap Check for update to check if a firmware updated is available. If a newer firmware version is available, you can update your Shelly device by tapping the Update button.

Geo Location And Time Zone

Set your time zone and geo-location in one of three ways:

  • Select it manually by choosing your Time zone from the dropdown menu.

    • Set the daylight saving as on / off / auto.

    • Input your location Latitude and Longitude.

  • Select your location from the map by tapping Select from map.

  • Enable automatic detection by tapping Auto detect location. You may also set automatic detection by marking the checkbox at the top of this section.

Tap Save to save any changes made.

Device Name

Change the current device name. Tap the toggle to sync device name. Keep the device name in sync with the name given in the application if “Sync name” is enabled. The sync is only from the application to the device and not vice-verse. Tap Save to save any changes made.

Factory Reset

Reset your Shelly Device to its factory settings by tapping the Factory reset button. This will disconnect the Shelly Device from your Wi-Fi network, and all associated users, including you, will be removed from this Device. All previously set data will be deleted.

Device Reboot

Tap Reboot to reboot your Shelly Device.

Device Information

Here you can view the ID, IP and other settings of your device. Copy Device ID, Decimal ID, Device IP, and Device Type by tapping the copy icon to the right of each. Tap Delete to delete this Shelly Device from your account.
