Shelly 1 PM Device Smart Control

Main Controls

Below the Main Controls heading, observe the current Shelly Device power in Watts (W), and whether or not the Shelly Device is active.

Above the power button is the Shelly Device’s consumption chart showing power consumption in Watts (W) of the last 24 hours, and the current Shelly Device power consumption in Watts (W).

The power button is at the bottom of this tab. Click the power button to turn your device On/Off. Your device is on when there is a blue ring around the power button , and is off when the ring is gray.

Notifications

If you have Shelly Device notifications, they will appear on this tab.

Charts

Consumption

Observe a chart with the Shelly Device consumption displayed in Watt-hours (Wh). Above the consumption chart, you can select the time interval and the date from which you want data to be shown. Click on the expand icon in the top right corner of the Consumption rectangular box if you wish to view the chart in full screen. Click the Export CSV button to download this data as a CSV file.

Activity log

Observe the recorded history of the Shelly Device events. See the date, time and type of action executed such as the Device being switched On/Off.

Timer

Allows you to manage the power supply automatically. You may use:

  • Auto on: After turning off, the relay output will be automatically turned on after a predefined time (in seconds).

  • Auto off: After turning on, the relay output will be automatically turned off after a predefined time (in seconds).

Schedule

Click the Add schedule button to create a schedule. Create a weekly schedule for the day(s) and time(s) you want the Shelly Device to turn On/Off automatically. You may add up to 20 weekly schedules. This function requires a working connection to the Internet.

  • Select the day(s) of the week, and then click the NEXT button.

  • Choose time interval: Time, or Sunrise / Sunset.

  • Set the time for the specified day(s):

    • Time: Click up/down button, or type in a number, to set a time in hours and minutes.

    • Sunset / Sunrise: The Shelly device may turn on/off automatically at sunrise/sunset, or at a specified time Before/After Sunrise/Sunset. Select the time in hours and minutes from the dropdown menus.

  • Select action: Set the action as on / off.

  • Click the Save button to save the schedule.

Once the schedule has been created, it will appear as a rectangular box on the main Schedule page for the Shelly Device. On this box, you can see the schedule details such as the days of the week, action and time. You can enable/disable schedules by clicking the toggle button at the top of this tab. You can edit the schedule by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and delete the schedule by clicking the trash icon on the right.

Actions

For each possible condition, check the toggle button to enable the condition. Click the edit icon, and input up to 5 URLs in order to trigger http endpoints. Click the save button once you have added your URLs. Click the Save button to save any changes made. Possible conditions are:

  • Button on

  • Button off

  • Long push

  • Short push

  • Output on

  • Output off

This function requires a working connection to the Internet. Once the action has been created, it will appear as a rectangular box on the main Actions page for the Shelly Device. You can enable/disable an action by click the toggle button to the left of the action box. You can edit the action by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and delete the action by clicking the trash icon on the right.

Networks

Wi-Fi

Register the Shelly device to connect to up to 2 different Wi-Fi networks. Either input or select the Wi-Fi network. Can select an open network, and also set a static IP address. Enable Wi-Fi 1, or Wi-Fi 2, or both at the same time. If both Wi-Fi 1 and Wi-Fi 2 are enabled, and the Shelly device disconnects from one of the networks, it will connect to the other.

Access Point

Enable to configure the Shelly device to create a Wi-Fi AP and you can connect to its network. Can also set it to be an open network.

Wi-Fi AP Roaming

Click the checkbox to enable Wi-FI AP roaming. Select an a RSSI signal strength value from the dropdown menu, below which the device will periodically scan for a better access point.

Restrict Login

Restrict the web interface of the device with a username and password.

Cloud

Enable to connect Shelly Device to its cloud. This allows you to control it remotely, and receive notifications and updates about your devices.

Safety

With power metering capabilities, the Shelly Device precisely monitors your appliances power consumption. Click the checkbox to enable Max power protection. Configure Shelly Device to turn off when power consumption reaches a set value in watts (W). Please note the power range you can set is 0 W - 3500 W.

Application Settings

Appliance Type

Select the appliance type the Shelly Device is connected to and operating. Choose the following from the dropdown menu: Lighting / Entertainment / Heating/cooling / Refrigeration / Laundry & cleaning / Cooking / Pool and garden / Electric vehicle / Ventilation / Grid source / Solar source / Water heater / Roller / Other.

Consumption Calculation

Enable/disable exclusion of device from total room/account consumption by clicking the toggle button. Click the toggle button to use the Shelly Device to record peak consumption.

Sub Settings Title Consumption Hierarchy

Enable/disable Is a “Master” device setting for this Shelly Device. Select the “Master” device from the dropdown menu.

Input State Display

Turn on indicator for the current status of the physical switch connected to Shelly Device. When enabled, a small line appears on the power button, below the power symbol . A red line indicates the physical switch is off, while a blue line indicates the physical switch is on.

Pin Lock

Enable and set a device pin lock.

Sync Name

Keep the device name in sync with the name given in the app.

Exclude From Activity Log

Do not show event log reports for this device in the app.

Exclude From Forgotten Lights

You can exclude this Shelly Device from the “Forgotten light reminder” if your device is designated as a “light” in the “Appliance type” setting. Click the toggle button to disable the “Forgotten lights reminder” notifications and emails for this device.

Share

Input an email and share control of the Device with another Shelly Smart Control user. The other user will only have access to the Main Controls, Notifications, Charts, and Application Settings tabs, and the Device Information on the Settings tab. The other user cannot see the other device tabs. View which email accounts this Shelly Device has been shared with, and click the delete button to the right of the email account you would like to delete. If a device has been shared with your account, view which account shared it with you, and click the Remove from my account button if you wish to delete it from your account.

Settings

Eco Mode

Click the checkbox to enable/disable Eco mode. Device will consume less energy and run at a lower temperature. Device will reboot if you disable/enable this function.

Power on Default

  • On: Configure Shelly device to Turn ON, when it has power.

  • Off: Configure Shelly device to Turn OFF, when it has power.

  • Restore last mode: Configure Shelly device to Restore the last mode it was in, when it has power.

  • SWITCH: Operates the Shelly device according to the state of the switch or button connected to the device

Button Type

  • Momentary: Set Shelly device to be "Momentary" switch. Push for "ON" or Push for "OFF".

  • Toggle Switch: Set Shelly device to be "Toggle" switch. Act as a flip switch with one state for "ON" and one state for "OFF".

  • Edge Switch: Set Shelly device to be "Edge" switch. Changes state on every hit.

  • Detached Switch: Set Shelly Device to be in "Detached" switch mode - switch is separated from the relays.

  • Activation Switch: Use it for motion sensor. Any input turns “ON” and resets Auto OFF timer.

  • Reverse inputs: If you enable this option, the buttons On/Off position will be inverted.

Long Push

Set a time to register as a long push in milliseconds (ms).

External Switch

Click the checkbox to enable an external switch. Once clicked, choose one or multiple from the following options:

  • Flipping the switch turns the output ON/OFF

  • Reverse switch position

Choose one of the following external switch add-on interface icon:

  • Basic

  • Door

  • Garage

LED Status Disable

Click the checkbox to disable Wi-Fi status LED.

Supply Voltage

Select 110 V or 230 V as the supply voltage.

Consumption Correction

Set a consumption correction value between 0.85 and 1.15.

Geo Location And Time Zone

Set your time zone and geo-location in one of three ways:

  • Select it manually by choosing your Time zone from the dropdown menu.

    • Set the daylight saving as on / off / auto.

    • Input your location Latitude and Longitude.

  • Select your location from the map by clicking Select from map button.

  • Enable automatic detection by clicking the Auto detect location button

Device Name

Set a name for your device.

Channel Name

Change the current channel name. This will reflect on the device name in the application if the “Sync name” application setting is enabled.

Firmware Update

Shows your current firmware version. If a newer version is available, you can update your Shelly device by clicking the Update button.

Factory Reset

Reset your Shelly Device to its factory settings by clicking the Factory reset button. This will disconnect the Shelly Device from your Wi-Fi network, and all associated users, including you, will be removed from this Device. All previously set data will be deleted.

Device Reboot

Reboot your Shelly Device.

Device Information

Here you can view the Shelly Device ID, IP and other device settings.
