Shelly TRV Device Smart Control
Main Controls
Below the Main Controls heading, observe the current room temperature, valve position as a percentage, and Shelly Device battery as a percentage.
Control the room temperature by clicking and dragging the circular slider. Observe the set temperature at the center of the circular slider. Below this slider is a button with a fire icon, which is the Boost button. The Boost function completely opens the valve for a set period of time to quickly heat the room.
Charts
Temperature
Observe a chart with the room temperature. Above the temperature chart, you can select the time interval and the date from which you want data to be shown. Below the temperature chart, observe the average, maximum and minimum temperature. Click on the expand icon in the top right corner of the Temperature rectangular box if you wish to view the chart in full screen. Below the chart, you can click the Export CSV
button to download the temperature data as a CSV file.
Valve Position
Observe a chart with the valve position as a percentage. Above the valve position chart, you can select the time interval and the date from which you want data to be shown. Click on the expand icon in the top right corner of the valve position rectangular box if you wish to view the chart in full screen. Below the chart, you can click the Export CSV
button to download the valve position data as a CSV file.
Event log
Observe the recorded history of the Shelly Device events. See the date, time, and Shelly Device actions.
Sensor settings
Temperature offset
Enable/disable external temperature corrections by clicking the checkbox. Click the clipboard icon to copy the webhook to be executed. Enable/disable internal temperature compensation by clicking the checkbox. This feature helps to read the temperature correctly despite the proximity of the head source.
Set the temperature offset by clicking and sliding the slider left and right. The value must be between -10 and 10. Click the APPLY
button to save any changes made.
Temperature units
Select ºC/ºF to be the units shown for the temperature on the display and on the app. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Open window
Enable/disable open window report endpoint by clicking the checkbox. Click the clipboard icon to copy the webhook to be executed. Click the APPLY
button to save any changes made.
Schedule
Select a schedule profile from the dropdown menu.
Observe a schedule chart with the set temperature. Using the dropdown menu, you can select the time interval and the date from which you want data to be shown.
Click the ADD
button to create a schedule. Create a weekly schedule for the day(s) and time(s) you want the corresponding device to turn On/Off automatically. You may add up to 20 weekly schedules. This function requires a working connection to the Internet.
Select the day(s) of the week, and then click the
NEXT
button.Choose time interval: Time, or Sunrise / Sunset.
Set the time for the specified day(s):
Time: Click up/down button, or type in a number, to set a time in hours and minutes.
Sunset / Sunrise: The Shelly device may turn on/off automatically at sunrise/sunset, or at a specified time Before/After Sunrise/Sunset. Select the time in hours and minutes from the dropdown menus.
Select action:
Set action as open / close / temperature control.
If you choose the temperature control option, set the temperature at which to execute the action by clicking the
+
or-
button.
Click the
Save
button to save the schedule.
Once the schedule has been created, it will appear as a rectangular box on the main Schedule page for the Shelly Device. On this box, you can see the schedule details such as the days of the week, action and time. You can edit the schedule by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and delete the schedule by clicking the trash icon on the right.
Actions
Use events to trigger http endpoints. For each possible condition, check the toggle button to enable the condition. Click the edit icon, and input URLs in order to trigger http endpoints. For each URL, set a start and end time for the web hook to be executed. Possible conditions are:
Valve Open
Valve Close
Click the Quick actions
button at the bottom of this tab. Set up the following settings, and navigate between pages by clicking the NEXT
or BACK
buttons. Create a web hook:
Conditions: Select from the following conditions which will trigger an action: Opened window / Temperature report.
Opened window:
Select device: Select which sensor will report an opened window to your valve.
Actions: Select condition which will trigger valve action, choose from the following options:
Open when dark
Open when twilight
Open when daylight
Temperature report:
Devices: Select which sensor will report temperature to your valve. Click the
Save
button to save any changes made.
This function requires a working connection to the Internet. Once the action has been created, it will appear as a rectangular box on the main actions page for the Shelly Device. You can enable/disable an action by clicking the toggle button to the left of the action box. You can edit the schedule by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and delete the action by clicking the trash icon on the right.
Networks
Wi-Fi 1
Register Shelly Device to connect to a Wi-Fi network. Either input or select the Wi-Fi network. Can select an open network, and also set a static IP address.
Access Point
Enable to configure Shelly Device to create a Wi-Fi AP and you can connect to its network. Can also set it to be an open network.
Restrict login
Restrict the web interface of the device with a username and password. Click the APPLY
button to save any changes made.
MQTT
Enable to configure Shelly Device to execute actions via MQTT.
Cloud
Enable to connect Shelly Device to its cloud. This allows you to control it remotely, and receive notifications and updates about your devices.
Application Settings
Pin lock
Enable/disable PIN lock for this Shelly Device.
Sync Name
Keep the device name in sync with the name given in the app.
Share
Input an email and share control of the Device with another Shelly Cloud user. The other user will only have access to the Device's power button (on/off), and be able to see the Device Information. The other user cannot see the other device settings.
Settings
Boost
This function allows you to warm up your room as quickly as possible if it has been cold for a prolonged period. Set boost time in minutes (input a value between 5 and 1440). Click the Save
button to save any changes.
Calibration
Click checkbox to allow the Shelly TRV to automatically correct calibration if needed. Manually calibrate Shelly TRV by clicking the Start calibration
button. Click the SAVE
button to save any changes.
Auto Temperature Control
Enable/disable automatic temperature control. If enabled, the TRV will maintain a constant temperature automatically. Under this setting you can also enable/disable Accelerated heating in order to reduce the time to reach the target temperature. Click the SAVE
button to save any changes.
Minimal Valve Position
Set the minimum position of a valve (between 0% to 100%). 0% means that the valve is fully closed, while 100% means that the valve is fully opened. Click the SAVE
button to save any changes.
Under Floor Heating
Enable/disable under floor heating mode. In this mode, only data from an external sensor is valid, while data from the built-in sensor is disregarded. Click the SAVE
button to save any changes.
Display
Customise the brightness of your Device’s display (Low/Normal/High). You can also rotate the screen if your device was mounted upside down. Click the SAVE
button to save any changes.
Clog Prevention
Click the checkbox to enable clog prevention. If this setting is enabled, the valve will ensure there is at least one movement per week to prevent clogging. Click the SAVE
button to save any changes.
Force Close
If force close is enabled, the TRV will apply extra force when the shaft is completely closed. Another option in this setting is to Enable extra pressure, which when activated will make the device use extra pressure throughout the whole movement (which may increase the noise during the movement). Click the SAVE
button to save any changes.
Child Lock
Click the checkbox to enable child lock. If enabled, the target temperature cannot be changed from the device buttons, and only from the web/app interface. Click the SAVE
button to save any changes.
Firmware Update
Shows your current firmware version. If a newer version is available, you can update your Shelly Device by clicking the Update
button.
Geo Location And Time Zone
Set your time zone and geo-location in one of three ways:
Select it manually by choosing your Time zone from the dropdown menu.
Select your location from the map by clicking
Select from map
button.Enable automatic detection by clicking the
Auto detect location
button.
Device Name
Set/change the name of your device.
Factory Reset
Reset your Shelly Device to its factory settings by clicking the Factory reset
button. This will disconnect the Shelly Device from your Wi-Fi network, and all associated users, including you, will be removed from this Device. All previously set data will be deleted.
Device Reboot
Reboot your Shelly Device.
Device Information
Here you can view the Shelly Device ID, IP and other device settings.
