Shelly TRV Device Smart Control
Main Controls
Below the Main Controls heading, observe the current room temperature, valve position as a percentage, and Shelly Device battery as a percentage.
Control the room temperature by clicking and dragging the circular slider. Observe the set temperature at the center of the circular slider.
Notifications
If you have Shelly Device notifications, they will appear on this tab. View the number of notifications for this Shelly Device. Tap the X
button in the top right corner of the notification box if you wish to delete the notification.
Charts
Temperature
Observe a chart with the room temperature. Above the temperature chart, you can select the time interval and the date from which you want data to be shown. Drag your finger/mouse across the chart to view time specific consumption measurements. Click the blue icon to the right of the date interval, above the chart, and change the displayed chart style.
Below the temperature chart, observe the average, maximum and minimum temperature. Click on the expand icon in the top right corner of the Temperature rectangular box if you wish to view the chart in full screen. Below the chart, you can click the Export .csv
button to download the temperature data as a CSV file.
Valve Position
Observe a chart with the valve position as a percentage. Above the valve position chart, you can select the time interval and the date from which you want data to be shown. Drag your finger/mouse across the chart to view the time specific valve position. Click the blue icon to the right of the date interval, above the chart, and change the displayed chart style.
Below the valve position chart, observe the average, maximum, and minimum value posistion as a percentage. Click on the expand icon in the top right corner of the valve position rectangular box if you wish to view the chart in full screen. Below the chart, you can click the Export CSV
button to download the valve position data as a CSV file.
Activity Log
Observe the recorded history of the Shelly Device events. See the date, time, and Shelly Device actions.
Sensor settings
Temperature offset
Enable/disable external temperature corrections by clicking the checkbox. Click the clipboard icon to copy the webhook to be executed.
Enable the internal tempersture compensation by clicking the checkbox. This feature helps to read the temperature correctly despite the proximity of the head source. Set the temperature offset by clicking and dragging the slider left and right. The value must be between -10 and 10. Click the APPLY
button to apply any changes made.
Temperature units
Select ºC/ºF to be the units shown for the temperature on the display and on the app.
Open window
Enable/disable open window report endpoint by clicking the toggle button. Click the clipboard icon to copy the webhook to be executed.
Schedule
Select a schedule profile from the dropdown menu.
Observe a schedule chart with the set temperature. Using the dropdown menu, you can select Week, or the day of the week, from which you want data to be shown.
Click the Add
button to create a schedule. Create a weekly schedule for the day(s) and time(s) you want the Shelly Device execute the set action. You may add up to 20 weekly schedules. This function requires a working connection to the Internet.
Select the day(s) of the week, and then click the
NEXT
button.Choose time interval: Time, or Sunrise / Sunset.
Set the time for the specified day(s):
Time: Click up/down button, or type in a number, to set a time in hours and minutes. Set the time as AM or PM.
Sunset / Sunrise: The Shelly device may turn on/off automatically at sunrise/sunset, or at a specified time Before/After Sunrise/Sunset. Select the time in hours and minutes from the dropdown menus.
Select action:
Set action as open / close / temperature control.
If you choose the temperature control option, set the temperature at which to execute the action by clicking the
+
or-
button.
Click the
Save
button to save the schedule.
Once the schedule has been created, it will appear as a rectangular box on the main Schedule page for the Shelly Device. On this box, you can see the schedule details such as the days of the week, action and time. You can edit the schedule by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and delete the schedule by clicking the trash icon on the right.
Actions
Use events to trigger http endpoints. Add URLs to execute when actions are complete. Click the edit pencil icon of the action you wish to activate in order to add URLs.
Add URLs to the following actions:
Valve Open
Valve Closed
Follow these steps to add URLs:
Click the edit pencil icon next to the action to which you wish to add URLs.
Click the
+ Add URL
button and input up to 5 URLs to execute when the actions is complete. If you wish to delete a URL, delete it by clicking the trash icon to the right of it.Click the
Save
button once you have added your URLs.
Click the Quick actions
button at the bottom of this tab. Set up the following settings, and navigate between pages by clicking the NEXT
or BACK
buttons. Create a web hook:
Conditions: Select from the following conditions which will trigger an action: Opened window / Temperature report.
Opened window:
Select device: Select which sensor will report an opened window to your valve.
Actions: Select condition which will trigger valve action, choose from the following options:
Open when dark
Open when twilight
Open when daylight
Temperature report:
Devices: Select which sensor will report temperature to your valve. Click the
Save
button to save any changes made.
This function requires a working connection to the Internet. Once the action has been created, it will appear as a rectangular box on the main Actions page for the Shelly Device. You can enable/disable an action by clicking the toggle button to the left of the action box. You can edit the schedule by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and delete the action by clicking the trash icon on the right.
Networks
Wi-Fi 1
Register Shelly Device to connect to a Wi-Fi network. Either input or select the Wi-Fi network. Can select an open network, or set a static IP address. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Access Point
Click the checkbox to enable this function. Enable to configure Shelly Device to create a Wi-Fi Access Point (AP), to which you can connect. Observe the SSID. Set a password to protect your device’s access point to secure your network from unauthorized access. Click the checkbox to set the AP it to be an open network. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Restrict login
Restrict the web interface of the Shelly Device with a username and password. Click the checkbox to enable this function. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
MQTT
Click the checkbox to enable MQTT. Configure the Shelly Device to execute actions via MQTT. Please note changing the MQTT settings requires a device reboot.
Choose the connection type, choose from the following options:
RPC status notifications over MQTT
Generic status update over MQTT
SSL connectivity
Input the MQTT prefix, the desired server, and client ID.
Input the username and password.
Click the
Save
button to save any changes made.
Cloud
Enable to connect Shelly Device to its cloud. This allows you to control it remotely, and receive notifications and updates about your devices. Click the toggle button to enable this function.
To disable the cloud connection, click the toggle button again. A confirmation prompt will appear. Click the Confirm
button if you're certain you want to disable the cloud connection for this device.
Application Settings
Device Card Customization
You can customize both big and small parameter slots on your device’s card. After customization, changes apply everywhere that you see the device in the app. Click the Customize device card
button to customize device card.
Choose to customize the Big Parameter Slot or Small Parameter Slot.
Big Parameter Slot:
Choose the slot as one of the following: None / Action / Parameter.
If you choose the slot content as Parameter, select the parameter type from the dropdown menu.

Small Parameter Slot:
View the list of Selected Parameters and Additonal Parameters.
Click the add
+
button to add the Available Parameters. If you wish to remove a parameter, click the subtract-
button.Click the move button, and drag and drop the parameter to the desired position under Selected Parameters.

Click the
Save
button to save any changes made.
Pin lock
Click the toggle button to enable pin lock.
Device Notifications
Click the toggle button next to each of the following notification types to enable them:
Enable device problem email notifications
Enable device problem push notifications.
Enable offline email notifications.
Enable offline push notifications.
Share
Input an email and share control of the Device with another Shelly Smart Control user. The other user will only have access to the Main Controls, Notifications, Charts, and Application Settings tabs, and the Device Information on the Settings tab. The other user cannot see the other device tabs. View which email accounts this Shelly Device has been shared with, and click the delete button to the right of the email account you would like to delete. If a device has been shared with your account, view which account shared the device with you, and click the Remove from my account
button if you wish to delete it from your account.
Settings
Boost
This function allows you to warm up your room as quickly as possible if it has been cold for a prolonged period. Set boost time in minutes (input a value between 5 and 1440). Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Calibration
Click the toggle button to allow the Shelly TRV to automatically correct calibration if needed. Manually calibrate Shelly TRV by clicking the Start calibration
button.
Auto Temperature Control
Enable/disable automatic temperature control. If enabled, the TRV will maintain a constant temperature automatically. Under this setting you can also enable/disable Accelerated heating in order to reduce the time to reach the target temperature. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Minimal Valve Position
Set the minimum position of a valve (between 0% to 100%). 0% means that the valve is fully closed, while 100% means that the valve is fully opened. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Under Floor Heating
Enable/disable under floor heating mode. In this mode, only data from an external sensor is valid, while data from the built-in sensor is disregarded. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Display
Click the checkbox to rotate the screen if your device was mounted upside down. Customise the brightness of your Device’s display (Low/Normal/High). Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Clog Prevention
Click the toggle button to enable clog prevention. If this setting is enabled, the valve will ensure there is at least one movement per week to prevent clogging.
Force Close
Click the toggle button to enable force close. If force close is enabled, the TRV will apply extra force when the shaft is completely closed.
Click the toggle button to enable extra pressure. If Enable extra pressure is enabled, the TRV will use extra pressure throughout the whole movement (which may increase the noise during the movement).
Child Lock
Click the toggle button to enable child lock. If enabled, the target temperature cannot be changed from the device buttons, and only from the web/app interface.
Firmware Version
Shows your current firmware version. Click the Check for update
button to check if a firmware updated is available. If a newer firmware version is available, you can update your Shelly device by clicking the Update
button.
Geo Location And Time Zone
Set your time zone and geo-location in one of three ways:
Select it manually by choosing your Time zone from the dropdown menu.
Set the daylight saving as on / off / auto.
Input your location Latitude and Longitude.
Select your location from the map by clicking
Select from map
button.Enable automatic detection by clicking the
Auto detect location
button. You may also set automatic detection by clicking the checkbox at the top of this section.
Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Device Name
Change the current device name. Click the toggle button to sync device name. Keep the device name in sync with the name given in the application if the “Sync name” is enabled. The sync is only from the application to the device and not vice-verse. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Factory Reset
Reset your Shelly Device to its factory settings by clicking the Factory reset
button. This will disconnect the Shelly Device from your Wi-Fi network, and all associated users, including you, will be removed from this Device. All previously set data will be deleted.
Device Reboot
Click the Reboot
button to reboot your Shelly Device.
Device Information
Here you can view the Shelly Device ID, Device IP, and Device Type, and other device information. Click the clipboard icon to copy the desired information. Click the Delete
button to delete this Shelly Device from your account.
