Shelly i3 Device Smart Control

Main Controls

The power button is at the bottom of this tab. Click the power button to turn your device On/Off. Your device is on when there is a blue ring around the power button , and is off when the ring is gray.

Activity log

Observe the recorded history of the Shelly Device events. See the date, time and type of action executed such as the Device being switched On/Off.

Actions

For each possible condition, check the toggle button to enable the condition. Click the edit icon, and input up to 5 URLs in order to trigger http endpoints. Click the save button once you have added your URLs. Click the Save button to save any changes made. Possible conditions are:

  • Button on

  • Button off

  • Short push

  • Long push

  • Double short push

  • Triple short push

  • Short push + Long push

  • Long push + Short push

This function requires a working connection to the Internet. Once the action has been created, it will appear as a rectangular box on the main I/O actions page for the Shelly Device. You can enable/disable an action by click the toggle button to the left of the action box. You can edit the action by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and delete the action by clicking the trash icon on the right.

Networks

Wi-Fi

Register the Shelly device to connect to up to 2 different Wi-Fi networks. Either input or select the Wi-Fi network. Can select an open network, and also set a static IP address. Enable Wi-Fi 1, or Wi-Fi 2, or both at the same time. If both Wi-Fi 1 and Wi-Fi 2 are enabled, and the Shelly device disconnects from one of the networks, it will connect to the other.

Access Point

Enable to configure the Shelly device to create a Wi-Fi AP and you can connect to its network. Can also set it to be an open network.

Wi-Fi AP Roaming

Click the Enable checkbox. Set the RSSI signal strength value below which the device will periodically scan for a better access point. Set a value between -50 to -90. Click the APPLY button to apply any changes made.

Restrict Login

Restrict the web interface of the device with a username and password. Click the APPLY button to apply any changes made.

Cloud

Click the checkbox to enable to connect Shelly Device to its cloud. This allows you to control it remotely, and receive notifications and updates about your devices. Click the APPLY button to apply any changes made.

Application Settings

Exclude From Event Log

Click the checkbox to disable event log reports for this device.

Sync Name

Keep the device name in sync with the name given in the app.

Share

Input an email and share control of the Device with another Shelly Cloud user. The other user will only have access to the Device's power button (on/off), and be able to see the Device Information. The other user cannot see the other device settings.

Settings

Eco Mode

Click the toggle button to enable/disable Eco mode. Device will consume less energy and run at a lower temperature. Device will reboot if you disable/enable this function.

Button Type

Select from the following to set button type:

  • Toggle switch - toggle mode with a single switch. Switch acts as a flip switch with one state for "ON" and one state for "OFF".

  • Momentary - Set this Light to be a “Momentary” switch. Push-for “ON” or Push-for “OFF”.

  • Reverse inputs - If you enable this option, the buttons On/Off position will be inverted.

Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Long Push

Set the minimum and maximum time to register a long push in milliseconds (ms). Set a minimum value between 100 - 3000 ms, and a maximum value between 200 - 6000 ms.

Multi Push

Set the maximum time between pushes in milliseconds (must be between 100 and 1000).

LED Status Disable

Click the checkbox to disabled Wi-Fi status LED.

Firmware Update

Shows your current firmware version. If a newer version is available, you can update your Shelly device by clicking the Update button.

Geo Location And Time Zone

Set your time zone and geo-location in one of three ways:

  • Select it manually by choosing your Time zone from the dropdown menu.

  • Select your location from the map by clicking Select from map button.

  • Enable automatic detection by clicking the Auto detect location button.

Channel Name

Change the current channel name. This will reflect on the device name in the application if the “Sync name” application setting is enabled. Once you have input a channel name, click the Save button to save any changes made.

Device Name

Set a name for your device.

Factory Reset

Reset your Shelly Device to its factory settings by clicking the Factory reset button. This will disconnect the Shelly Device from your Wi-Fi network, and all associated users, including you, will be removed from this Device. All previously set data will be deleted.

Device Reboot

Reboot your Shelly Device.

Device Information

Here you can view the Shelly Device ID, IP and other device settings.
