Shelly Flood Device Smart Control

Main Controls

Below the Main Controls heading, observe the current room temperature, Shelly Device battery as a percentage, and the date and time the Shelly Device was last active.

Observe the room temperature chart at the bottom of this tab, which display the temperatures measured in the last 24 hours. Below the temperature chart, observe whether or not a flood has been detected.

Charts

Temperature

Observe a chart with the room temperature. Above the temperature chart, you can select the time interval and the date from which you want data to be shown. Click on the expand icon in the top right corner of the Temperature rectangular box if you wish to view the chart in full screen.

Below the chart, observe the average, max, and min temperature values in specified time range. Below these values, you can click the Export CSV button to download the temperature data as a CSV file.

Event log

Observe the recorded history of the Shelly Device events. Click the dropdown menu to the left of the date and time, and observe Shelly Device measurements such as room temperature, Shelly Device battery percentage, and whether or no a flood was detected.

Sensor settings

Temperature Units

Select ºC/ºF to be the units shown the temperature on the display. Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Temperature Threshold

Input a value for the threshold temperature change which will cause the Device to wake up and trigger a sensor data report. (Min: 0.5 - Max: 5) Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Temperature Offset

Set the temperature offset. The value must be between -50 and 50. Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Rain Mode

Click the checkbox to turn on rain mode. In this mode, the device will not set off the alarm when there is water, and will only report when the water status has changed. Click the APPLY button to apply any changes made.

Actions

Use events to trigger http endpoints. Input URLs to send the Shelly device a command. You may add up to 5 URLs per each of the conditions below, which will be executed one after the other.

You can enable/disable an action by clicking the checkbox to the left of the box. You can edit the action by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and add a URL.

Possible conditions are:

  • Sensor reports

  • Flood detected

  • Flood gone

This function requires a working connection to the Internet. Please note that more than 2 actions can affect the normal operation of the device depending on the network infrastructure and the controlled devices.

Sensor actions

Use events to trigger http endpoints. Input URLs to send the Shelly device a command. You may add up to 5 URLs per each of the conditions below, which will be executed one after the other.

You can enable/disable an action by clicking the checkbox to the left of the box. You can edit the action by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and add a URL.

Possible conditions are:

  • Temperature Over: Once the edit icon has been clicked, input a value for “When temperature over” for which to execute the web hook(s). Add up to 5 URLs to hit when the action is complete. Click the Save button to save any changes made.

  • Temperature Under: Once the edit icon has been clicked, input a value for “When temperature under” for which to execute the web hook(s). Add up to 5 URLs to hit when the action is complete. Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Networks

Wi-Fi

Register Shelly Device to connect to up to 2 different Wi-Fi networks. Either input or select the Wi-Fi network. Can select an open network, and also set a static IP address. Enable Wi-Fi 1, or Wi-Fi 2, or both at the same time. If both Wi-Fi 1 and Wi-Fi 2 are enabled, and Shelly Device disconnects from one of the networks, it will connect to the other.

Access Point

Enable to configure Shelly Device to create a Wi-Fi AP and you can connect to its network. Can also set it to be an open network.

Wi-Fi reconnect

Click the RECONNECT button to connect the Shelly Device to the strongest Wi-Fi network.

Restrict login

Restrict the web interface of the Shelly Device with a username and password. Click the checkbox to enable this function. Click the APPLY button to apply changes made.

Application Settings

Exclude From Event Log

Click the checkbox to disable event log reports for this device in the app.

Sync Name

Click the checkbox to keep the device name in sync with the name given in the app.

Share

Input an email and share control of the Device with another Shelly Cloud user. The other user will only have access to the Device's power button (on/off), and be able to see the Device Information. The other user cannot see the other device settings.

Settings

Firmware Update

Shows your current firmware version. If a newer version is available, you can update your Shelly device by clicking the Update button.

Geo Location And Time Zone

Set your time zone and geo-location in one of three ways:

  • Select it manually by choosing your Time zone from the dropdown menu.

  • Select your location from the map by clicking Select from map button.

  • Enable automatic detection by clicking the Auto detect location button.

Device Name

Change the current device name. This will reflect on the Shelly Device name in the application if the “Sync name” application setting is enabled.

Factory Reset

Reset your Shelly Device to its factory settings by clicking the Factory reset button. This will disconnect the Shelly Device from your Wi-Fi network, and all associated users, including you, will be removed from this Device. All previously set data will be deleted.

Device Reboot

Reboot your Shelly Device.

Device Information

Here you can view the Shelly Device ID, IP and other device settings.
