Shelly Flood Device Smart Control

Main Controls

Below the Main Controls heading, observe the current room temperature, the Shelly Device battery as a percentage, and the date and time of the last measurement.

Observe the room temperature chart at the bottom of this tab, which display the temperatures measured in the last 24 hours. The blue line chart displays the minimum temperature. The red line chart displays the maximum temperature. Below the temperature chart, observe whether or not a flood has been detected.

Notifications

If you have Shelly Device notifications, they will appear on this tab. View the number of notifications for this Shelly Device. Tap the X button in the top right corner of the notification box if you wish to delete the notification.

Charts

Temperature

Observe a chart of the room temperature, with the maximum and minimum temperatures. The blue line chart displays the minimum temperature. The red line chart displays the maximum temperature. Above the temperature chart, you can select the time interval and the date from which you want data to be shown. Drag your finger/mouse across the chart to view time specific temperature measurement. Click the blue icon to the right of the date interval, above the chart, and change the displayed chart style.

Click on the expand icon in the top right corner of the Temperature rectangular box if you wish to view the chart in full screen. Below the temperature chart, observe the average, maximum, and minimum temperature values in the specified time range. Below these values, you can click the Export .csv button to download the temperature data as a CSV file.

Activity log

Observe the recorded history of the Shelly Device events. Click the dropdown menu to the left of the date and time, and observe Shelly Device measurements such as room temperature, Shelly Device battery as a percentage, and whether or not a flood was detected.

Sensor settings

Temperature Units

Choose the temperature units as ºC/ºF.

Temperature Threshold

Input a value for the threshold temperature change which will cause the Device to wake up and trigger a sensor data report. Add or subtract a temperature value from your sensor measurements. Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Temperature Offset

Set the temperature offset. Add or subtract a value from your sensor measurements. Input a value between -50ºC and 50ºC, or -90ºF and 90ºF, depending on your previously set temperature units. Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Rain Mode

Click the checkbox to turn on rain mode. In this mode, the device will not set off the alarm when there is water, and will only report when the water status has changed. Click the APPLY button to apply any changes made.

Actions

Use events to trigger http endpoints. Add URLs to execute when actions are complete.

Add URLs to the following actions:

  • Sensor reports

  • Flood detected

  • Flood gone

Follow these steps to add URLs:

  • Click the edit pencil icon next to the action to which you wish to add URLs.

  • Add URLs: Click the + Add URL button to add up to 5 URLs per action, which will be executed one after the other. Click the trash icon to the right of a URL if you wish to delete it.

  • Click the Save button once you have added your URLs.

Enable/disable an action by clicking the toggle button to the left of the action box. You can edit the action by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right.

Please note that more than 2 actions can affect the normal operation of the device depending on the network infrastructure and the controlled devices.

Sensor actions

Use events to trigger http endpoints. Input URLs to send the Shelly device a command. You may add up to 5 URLs per each of the conditions below, which will be executed one after the other. Edit the action by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and then add the URLs to be executed.

Possible conditions are:

  • Temperature Over:

    • Click the edit pencil icon to add URLs to the action.

    • Input a value for the “When temperature over” condition.

    • Click the + Add URL button to add up to 5 URLs to be executed when the temperature exceeds the input value. Click the trash icon to the right of a URL if you wish to delete it.

    • Select the action to be executed One time or Repeatedly.

    • Click the Save button to save any changes made.

  • Temperature Under:

    • Click the edit pencil icon to add URLs to the action.

    • Input a value for the “When temperature under” condition.

    • Click the + Add URL button to add up to 5 URLs to be executed when the temperature is below the input value. Click the trash icon to the right of a URL if you wish to delete it.

    • Select the action to be executed One time or Repeatedly.

    • Click the Save button to save any changes made.

This function requires a working connection to the Internet. You can enable/disable an action by clicking the toggle button to the left of the box. You can edit the action by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and add URLs.

Networks

Wi-Fi

Register Shelly Device to connect to up to 2 different Wi-Fi networks. Either input or select the Wi-Fi network. Can select an open network, and also set a static IP address. Enable Wi-Fi 1, or Wi-Fi 2, or both at the same time. If both Wi-Fi 1 and Wi-Fi 2 are enabled, and Shelly Device disconnects from one of the networks, it will connect to the other. Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Access Point

Click the checkbox to enable this function. Enable to configure Shelly Device to create a Wi-Fi Access Point (AP), to which you can connect. Observe the SSID. Set a password to protect your device’s access point to secure your network from unauthorized access. Click the checkbox to set the AP it to be an open network. Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Wi-Fi reconnect

Click the RECONNECT button to connect the Shelly Device to the strongest Wi-Fi network.

Restrict login

Restrict the web interface of the Shelly Device with a username and password. Click the checkbox to enable this function. Input a username and password. Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Application Settings

Device Card Customization

You can customize both big and small parameter slots on your device’s card. After customization, changes apply everywhere that you see the device in the app. Click the Customize device card button to customize device card.

  • Choose to customize the Big Parameter Slot or Small Parameter Slot.

    • Big Parameter Slot:

      • Choose the slot as one of the following: None / Parameter.

      • If you choose the slot content as Parameter, select the parameter type from the dropdown menu.

      • View the preview below.

    • Small Parameter Slot:

      • View the list of Selected Parameters and Additonal Parameters.

      • Click the add + button to add the Available Parameters. If you wish to remove a parameter, click the subtract - button.

      • Click the move button, and drag and drop the parameter to the desired position under Selected Parameters.

      • View the preview below.

  • Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Exclude From Activity Log

Click the toggle button to exclude this Shelly Device from the global activity log.

Device Notifications

Click the toggle button next to each of the following notification types to enable them:

  • Enable device problem email notifications

  • Enable device problem push notifications.

  • Enable low battery email notifications.

  • Enable low battery push notifications.

  • Enable offline email notifications.

  • Enable offline push notifications.

  • Enable flood alarm email notifications.

  • Enable flood alarm push notifications.

Share

Input an email and share control of the Device with another Shelly Smart Control user. The other user will only have access to the Main Controls, Notifications, Charts, and Application Settings tabs, and the Device Information on the Settings tab. The other user cannot see the other device tabs. View which email accounts this Shelly Device has been shared with, and click the delete button to the right of the email account you would like to delete. If a device has been shared with your account, view which account shared the device with you, and click the Remove from my account button if you wish to delete it from your account.

Settings

Firmware Version

Shows your current firmware version. Click the Check for update button to check if a firmware updated is available. If a newer firmware version is available, you can update your Shelly device by clicking the Update button.

Geo Location And Time Zone

Set your time zone and geo-location in one of three ways:

  • Select it manually by choosing your Time zone from the dropdown menu.

    • Set the Daylight saving time as on / off / auto.

    • Input your location Latitude and Longitude.

  • Select your location from the map by clicking Select from map button.

  • Enable automatic detection by clicking the Auto detect location button. You may also set automatic detection by clicking the checkbox at the top of this section.

Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Device Name

Change the current device name. Click the toggle button to sync device name. Keep the device name in sync with the name given in the application if the “Sync name” is enabled. The sync is only from the application to the device and not vice-verse. Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Factory Reset

Reset your Shelly Device to its factory settings by clicking the Factory reset button. This will disconnect the Shelly Device from your Wi-Fi network, and all associated users, including you, will be removed from this Device. All previously set data will be deleted.

Device Reboot

Click the Reboot button to reboot your Shelly Device.

Device Information

Here you can view the ID, IP and other settings of your device. Copy Device ID, Decimal ID, Device IP, and Device Type by clicking the copy icon to the right of each. Click the Delete button if you wish to remove the Shelly Device from your account.
