Shelly Plus Wall Dimmer Device Smart Control
Main Controls
Below the Main Controls heading, observe brightness as a percentage. Adjust brightness with Shelly Plus Wall Dimmer by dragging the slider up and down to your desired percentage, with the percentage value shown just below the slider.
The power button ⏻
is at the bottom of this tab. Click the power button ⏻
to turn your device On/Off. Your device is on when there is a blue ring around the power button ⏻
, and is off when the ring is gray.
Event log
Observe the recorded history of the Shelly Device events. See the date, time and type of action executed such as the Device being switched On/Off, or brightness value as a percentage.
Timer
Allows you to manage the power supply automatically. You may use:
Auto on: After turning off, the relay output will be automatically turned on after a predefined time (in seconds).
Auto off: After turning on, the relay output will be automatically turned off after a predefined time (in seconds).
Schedule
Click the ADD
button to create a schedule. Create a weekly schedule for the day(s) and time(s) you want the corresponding device to turn On/Off automatically. You may add up to 20 weekly schedules. This function requires a working connection to the Internet.
Select the day(s) of the week, and then click the
NEXT
button.Choose time interval: Time, or Sunrise / Sunset.
Set the time for the specified day(s):
Time: Click up/down button, or type in a number, to set a time in hours and minutes.
Sunset / Sunrise: The Shelly device may turn on/off automatically at sunrise/sunset, or at a specified time Before/After Sunrise/Sunset. Select the time in hours and minutes from the dropdown menus.
Set the action as on / off / select brightness. If you choose to select brightness, click and drag the slider below to set the brightness.
Once the schedule has been created, it will appear as a rectangular box on the main Schedule page for the Shelly Device. On this box, you can see the schedule details such as the days of the week, action and time. You can enable/disable a schedule by click the checkbox on the left of the schedule box. You can edit the schedule by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and delete the schedule by clicking the trash icon on the right.
Night mode
Click the checkbox to enable night mode. Click the edit icon to adjust the active night mode settings. Choose the night mode time interval by clicking the up/down buttons, or type in a number, to set a time in hours and minutes. Click the Next
button to navigate to the next page. Click and drag the slider to set the brightness. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Actions
Use events to trigger http endpoints. You can add up to 20 web hooks. Set up the following settings, and navigate between pages by clicking the NEXT
or BACK
buttons. Create an action:
Set Action Name: Type in web hook name.
Active Time: May leave as the 24-hour default option or choose an active start and end time. Click the up/down buttons, or type in a number, to set a time in hours and minutes.
When: Select from a variety of conditions for the button/switch.
Light on
Light off
Then Do: Input URL to send the Shelly Device a command. You may add up to 5 URLs per action, which will be executed one after the other. Click the
Add
button to add another URL to execute, or click theAdd local action
button to configure a local action.Local action: Set the local action as Control Light. Click the checkbox to enable Light State. Set the light status as On / Off. Click the checkbox to change the brightness, and click and drag the slider to adjust the brightness. Click the checkbox to flip value after the set number of seconds.
Click the
SAVE
button to save the schedule or to save any changes made.
This function requires a working connection to the Internet. Once the web hook has been created, it will appear as a rectangular box on the main I/O actions page for the Shelly Device. You can enable/disable a schedule by click the checkbox to the left of the schedule box. You can edit the schedule by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and delete the schedule by clicking the trash icon on the right.
Scripts
Use the Scripts functionality to create or import scripts.
Library: Click the
Library
button to view existing scripts. Click on the desired script and click theInsert code
button to add the script to your Shelly Device.Create new script: Click the
Create new script
button. A new page will appear where you can name, create, edit and save your script. Click the play button to run your script. Click thex
button to exit the script. Click the trash icon to delete your script.
If there are any available, click the checkbox of the script you wish to enable. Click the edit button to update the script, and click the play button to execute the script.
Networks
Wi-Fi
Register Shelly Device to connect to up to 2 different Wi-Fi networks. Either input or select the Wi-Fi network. Can select an open network, and also set a static IP address. Enable Wi-Fi 1, or Wi-Fi 2, or both at the same time. If both Wi-Fi 1 and Wi-Fi 2 are enabled, and Shelly Device disconnects from one of the networks, it will connect to the other.
Access Point
Enable to configure Shelly Device to create a Wi-Fi AP and you can connect to its network. Can also set it to be an open network.
Range extender
Click the checkbox to enable range extender. Click the APPLY
button to save any changes made.
Outbound websocket
See outbound websocket status as Connected or Disconnected. Click the checkbox to enable SSL connectivity. Please note changing these settings requires a device reboot. Click the SAVE
button to save any changes made.
RPC over UDP
Input the destination address and port. Afterwards, input the listening port. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Cloud
Enable to connect Shelly Device to its cloud. This allows you to control it remotely, and receive tions and updates about your devices.
Bluetooth
Enable to allow Bluetooth communication. Enable Bluetooth gateway.
MQTT
Enable to configure Shelly Device to execute actions via MQTT.
Settings
Consumption Calculation
Enable/disable exclusion of device from total room/account consumption. Click the APPLY
button to save any changes made.
Pin lock
Enable/disable PIN lock for this Shelly Device.
Sync Name
Keep the device name in sync with the name given in the app.
Exclude From Event Log
Click the checkbox to disable event log reports for this device.
Share
Input an email and share control of the Device with another Shelly Cloud user. The other user will only have access to the Device's power button (on/off), and be able to see the Device Information. The other user cannot see the other device settings.
Settings
Eco Mode
Click the checkbox to enable/disable Eco mode. Device will consume less energy and run at a lower temperature. Device will reboot if you disable/enable this function.
Initial state
Set relay power on default:
On: Configure Shelly device to Turn ON, when it has power.
Off: Configure Shelly device to Turn OFF, when it has power.
Restore last: Configure Shelly device to Restore the last mode it was in, when it has power.
LED indicators
The default setting of the blue LED (behind the power button) indicates if the Wi-Fi is connected. Turn off the blue LED by choosing the Always off option from the dropdown menu.
The default setting of the white LED (behind the power button) indicates the dimmer is turned on. You can change this setting by selecting other options from the dropdown menu. You can invert the settings (set to Off when dimmer is on), or simply set it to Always on/off.
Device Name
Input a name to change the current device name. This will reflect on the device name in the application if the “Sync name” application setting is enabled. Click the SAVE
button to save any changes made.
Firmware Version
Shows your current firmware version. If a newer version is available, you can update your Shelly device by clicking the Update
button.
Geo Location And Time Zone
Set your time zone and geo-location in one of three ways:
Select it manually by choosing your Time zone from the dropdown menu.
Select your location from the map by clicking
Select from map
button.Enable automatic detection by clicking the
Auto detect location
button.
Device Reboot
Reboot your Shelly Device.
Factory Reset
Reset your Shelly Device to its factory settings by clicking the Factory reset
button. This will disconnect the Shelly Device from your Wi-Fi network, and all associated users, including you, will be removed from this Device. All previously set data will be deleted.
Device Information
Here you can view the ID, IP and other settings of your device. Copy Device ID, Decimal ID, Device IP, and Device Type by clicking the copy icon to the right of each.
