This simple home use case highlights the role of Shelly devices in optimizing energy usage and enhancing personal comfort in a single apartment, where corridor lighting is automated with Shelly devices. This is a plug-and-play solution that requires no additional wiring, home repairs, or construction activities, ensuring a simple and straightforward installation process.

Solution
For this case, a set of Shelly products is used to automate the apartment corridor lights. No additional wiring, repair work, or fixing is required.
Shelly sensors are placed at key points in combination with the entrance door sensor. These devices are BLE Bluetooth devices, which require a BLE Gateway—in this case, the Shelly Plug. Shelly Plugs are strategically placed to ensure reliable Bluetooth coverage.
Shelly bulbs are used instead of standard ones, offering the ability to dim the lights during nighttime, enhancing eye comfort.
With the help of automated Shelly scenes, lights are activated upon motion detection or when the entrance door is opened. If no motion is detected, the lights automatically turn off.
During nighttime, the light intensity is dimmed to a user-defined percentage for improved eye and personal comfort.
