Shelly Plus RGBW Device Smart Control
Main Controls
Below the Main Controls heading, observe the set color, and the set brightness as a percentage.
Adjust White Channel percentage by dragging the slider left and right to your desired percentage. Adjust Shelly Device brightness by dragging the slider left and right to your desired percentage.
The power button ⏻
is at the bottom of this tab. Click the power button ⏻
to turn your device On/Off. Your device is on when there is a blue ring around the power button ⏻
, and is off when the ring is gray.
Secondary Controls
Adjust the color of the Shelly Device by clicking and dragging the pointer across the color palette. If a new color has been selected, click the save icon button in the top right corner to save the desired to color to the saved colors section below the color palette. Click the trash icon of the corresponding color you wish to delete from your saved colors below.
Notifications
If you have Shelly Device notifications, they will appear on this tab.
Activity log
Observe the recorded history of the Shelly Device events. See the date, time and type of action executed such as the Device being switched On/Off.
Timer
Allows you to manage the power supply automatically. You may use:
Auto on: After turning off, the relay output will be automatically turned on after a predefined time (in seconds).
Auto off: After turning on, the relay output will be automatically turned off after a predefined time (in seconds).
Schedule
Click the Add schedule
button to create a schedule. Create a weekly schedule for the day(s) and time(s) you want the corresponding device to turn On/Off automatically. You may add up to 20 weekly schedules. This function requires a working connection to the Internet.
Select the day(s) of the week.
Advanced Options: Click the downward arrow of Advanced Options to reveal more options.
Active dates: Set the active dates by clicking on the desired date(s). Click on More Options and select from a variety of options:

Click the

button.
Choose time interval from the dropdown menu: Time, Sunrise / Sunset, Advanced Options, or Random.
Set the time for the specified day(s):
Time: Click up/down button, or type in a number, to set a time in hours and minutes.
Sunset / Sunrise: The Shelly device may turn on/off automatically at sunrise/sunset, or at a specified time Before/After Sunrise/Sunset. Set the time as AM or PM.
Advanced Options:
Active minutes: Set the active minutes by clicking on the desired minute(s). Click on More Options and select from a variety of options:

Select Action:
Local Action: Select Control RGBW Lights from the dropdown menu as the Local action.
Light State: Click the checkbox to enable Light State, and set the action as On / Off.
Flip Value After: Click the checkbox to Flip value after the set value.
Set Brightness Property: Click the checkbox to set Brightness property, and click and drag the slider to set the brightness as a percentage. (Range: 1 to 100%)
Set Transition Duration Property: Click the checkbox and input a value in seconds to set the transition duration property. Input a value between a minimum of 0.5 seconds and a maximum of 10800 seconds.
Set Color Property: Click the checkbox to set a color property. Set the color by clicking and dragging the pointer across the color palette.
Set White Brightness Property: Set the White Channel percentage by dragging the slider left and right to your desired percentage.
Click the
Save
button to save the schedule.
Once the schedule has been created, it will appear as a rectangular box on the main Schedule page for the Shelly Device. On this box, you can see the schedule details such as the days of the week, action and time. You can enable/disable schedules by clicking the toggle button of the schedule. You can edit the schedule by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and delete the schedule by clicking the trash icon on the right.
Actions
Use events to trigger http endpoints. You can add up to 20 actions. Set up the following settings, and navigate between pages by clicking the NEXT
or BACK
buttons. Create an action:
Choose Component: Select the Shelly Device channel you wish to create an action for.
Set Action Name: Type in action name.
Active Time: Click the checkbox to set an active time. You may leave as the 24-hour default option or choose an active start and end time. Click the up/down buttons, or type in a number, to set a time in hours and minutes. Set the time as AM or PM.
When: Select from a variety of conditions:
RGBW On
RGBW Off
Then Do: Input URL to send the Shelly Device a command. You may add up to 5 URLs per action, which will be executed one after the other. Click the
+ Add Action
button to add another URL to execute, or click the+ Add local action
button to configure a local action. Follow these steps on setting up a local action.Select Control RGBW Lights from the dropdown menu to set the type of local action.
Light State: Click the checkbox to enable Light State, and set the action as On / Off.
Flip Value After: Click the checkbox to Flip value after the set value.
Set Brightness Property: Click the checkbox to set Brightness property, and click and drag the slider to set the brightness as a percentage. (Range: 1 to 100%)
Set Transition Duration Property: Click the checkbox and input a value in seconds to set the transition duration property. Input a value between a minimum of 0.5 seconds and a maximum of 10800 seconds.

Click the
SAVE
button to save the web hook or to save any changes made.
This function requires a working connection to the Internet. Once the action has been created, it will appear as a rectangular box on the main Actions page for the Shelly Device. You can enable/disable an action by click the toggle button to the left of the action box. You can edit the action by clicking on the edit pencil icon on the right, and delete the action by clicking the trash icon on the right.
Night Mode
Click the toggle button to enable night mode. Once enabled, click the edit icon to edit the active night mode. Choose the time interval start and end time by clicking the up/down button, or typing in a number, to set a time in hours and minutes. Click the Next
button. Click and drag the slider to set the brightness as a percentage. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Add-on Sensors
Click the ENABLE ADD-ON
button to enable the add-on functionality to this device, which requires a restart of the Shelly Device.
Manage peripherals
Click the Add Peripheral
button to add an Add-on Peripheral. Please note after adding a peripheral, the Shelly Device will reboot. Select from one of the following Add-on Peripherals:
Temperature and Humidity
Temperature sensor
Digital Input
Analog Input
Voltmeter
If you wish to delete an add-on peripheral, click the trash icon of the corresponding peripheral.
Scripts
Use the Scripts functionality to create or import scripts.
Library: Click the
Open Library
button to view existing scripts. Click on the desired script and click theInsert code
button to add the script to your Shelly Device.Create new script: Click the
Create new script
button. A new page will appear where you can name, create, edit and save your script. Click the play button to run your script. Click thex
button to exit the script. Click the trash icon to delete your script.
For an existing script, click the toggle button of the script you wish to enable. Click the play button of the script you wish to execute. Click the edit pencil icon to update the script, and the trash icon to delete it.
Networks
Wi-Fi
Register Shelly Device to connect to up to 2 different Wi-Fi networks. Either input or select the Wi-Fi network. Can select an open network, and also set a static IP address. Enable Wi-Fi 1, or Wi-Fi 2, or both at the same time. If both Wi-Fi 1 and Wi-Fi 2 are enabled, and Shelly Device disconnects from one of the networks, it will connect to the other.
Access Point
Click the checkbox to enable this function. Enable to configure Shelly Device to create a Wi-Fi Access Point (AP), to which you can connect. Observe the SSID. Set a password to protect your device’s access point to secure your network from unauthorized access. Click the checkbox to set the AP it to be an open network.
Range extender
Click the toggle button to enable range extender. Click the APPLY
button to save any changes made.
Outbound websocket
Click the checkbox to enable SSL connectivity. See outbound websocket status as Connected or Disconnected. Select the type of SSL connectivity from the dropdown menu, and input the server address. Please note changing these settings requires a device reboot. Click the SAVE
button to save any changes made.
RPC over UDP
Input the destination address and port. Afterwards, input the listening port. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Cloud
Enable to connect Shelly Device to its cloud. This allows you to control it remotely, and receive notifications and updates about your Shelly devices.
Bluetooth
Enable to allow Bluetooth communication. Enable RPC and/or Bluetooth gateway.
MQTT
Enable to configure Shelly Device to execute actions via MQTT. Select the connection type by clicking its checkbox. Input the MQTT prefix, server address, client ID, username and password. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Safety
With power metering capabilities, the Shelly Device precisely monitors your appliances power consumption.
Max Power Protection
Configure Shelly Device to turn off when power consumption reaches a set value in watts (W). Please note the power range you can set is 0 W - 4480 W.
Max Voltage Protection
Configure Shelly Device to turn off when voltage reaches a set value in volts (V). Please note the max voltage you can set is 280 V.
Max Current Protection
Configure Shelly Device to turn off when the current reaches a set value in amperes (A). Please note the max current you can set is 16 A.
Under Voltage Protection
Input an under voltage protection value in volts. You may delete the value and save to reset to default value.
Under/Over voltage auto recovery
Click the toggle button to enable auto recovery to the state before the over/under voltage happened.
Application Settings
Appliance Type
Select the appliance type to which the Shelly Device is connected to. Choose one of the following from the dropdown menu: Lighting / Entertainment / Heating/cooling / Refrigeration / Laundry & cleaning / Cooking / Pool and Garden / Electric vehicle / Ventilation / Grid source / Solar source / Water heater / Roller / Other. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Consumption Calculation
Click the corresponding toggle button to enable/disable exclusion of device from total room/account consumption.
Pin Lock
Enable/disable and set a channel pin lock.
Sync Name
Keep the device name in sync with the name given in the app.
Input State Display
Click the toggle button to turn on indicator for the current status of the physical switch connected to Shelly Device. When enabled, a small line appears on the power button, below the power symbol ⏻
. A red line indicates the physical switch is off, while a blue line indicates the physical switch is on.
Exclude From Activity Log
Click the toggle button to enable/disable event log reports for this device.
Exclude From Activity Log
Click the toggle button to disable the “Forgotten lights reminder” notifications and e-mails for this device.
Share
Input an email and share control of the Device with another Shelly Smart Control user. The other user will only have access to the Main Controls, Notifications, Charts, and Application Settings tabs, and the Device Information on the Settings tab. The other user cannot see the other device tabs. View which email accounts this Shelly Device has been shared with, and click the delete button to the right of the email account you would like to delete. If a device has been shared with your account, view which account shared it with you, and click the Remove from my account
button if you wish to delete it from your account.
Settings
Eco Mode
Click the toggle button to enable/disable Eco mode. Device will consume less energy and run at a lower temperature. Device will reboot if you disable/enable this function.
Device Profile
Select the device profile type from the dropdown menu. Choose from Light / RGB / RGBW. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Input/output Settings
Select the input button/switch mode: Button / Switch / Analog.
Select from the following to set relay type:
Toggle Switch: Set the Shelly Device to be a “Toggle” switch. Acts as a flip switch with one state for “ON” and one state for “OFF”.
Edge Switch: Set Shelly Device to be an “Edge” switch. Changes state on every hit.
Detached Switch: Set Shelly Device to be in “Detached” switch mode. Switch is separated from the relays.
Activation Switch: use it for motion sensor. Any input turns “ON” and resets Auto OFF timer.
One button dimming control: Push to toggle, hold to dim up/down (changes direction on each hold).
Select from the following to set power on default type:
On: Configure Shelly Device to turn on when it has power.
Off: Configure Shelly Device to turn off when it has power.
Restore last mode: Configure Shelly Device to restore the last mode it was in when it has power.
Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Invert Switch Logic
Click the toggle button to enable the invert switch logic button.
Button Fade Rate
Controls how quickly the output brightness changes while the button is held down for dimming. Select the fade rate from the dropdown menu, choose from: 1x / 2x / 3x / 4x / 5x. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Min Brightness on Toggle
Input a minimum brightness level value as a percentage. The brightness level is applied when there is a toggle and current brightness is lower than the ‘Min brightness on toggle’. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Transition Duration
Transition time (in seconds) when transition is not is not explicitly set. Set a value between 0 - 5. Click the Save
button to save any changes made.
Device Name
Set a name for your device.
Firmware Version
Shows your current firmware version. If a newer version is available, you can update your Shelly device by clicking the Update
button.
Geo Location And Time Zone
Set your time zone and geo-location in one of three ways:
Select it manually by choosing your Time zone from the dropdown menu.
Select your location from the map by clicking
Select from map
button.Enable automatic detection by clicking the
Auto detect location
button.
Device Reboot
Reboot your Shelly Device.
Factory Reset
Reset your Shelly Device to its factory settings by clicking the Factory reset
button. This will disconnect the Shelly Device from your Wi-Fi network, and all associated users, including you, will be removed from this Device. All previously set data will be deleted.
Device Information
Here you can view the Shelly Device ID, IP and other device settings.
