Shelly Motion 2 Device Page

Status and control

From left to right across the status and control bar, you see the Device image, name, and motion/no motion. Directly below the status and control bar is the current room temperature, illumination status of the room, and Device battery percentage.

If motion is detected by your Shelly Motion 2, then the walking person icon and “motion” will appear on the right-hand side of the control and status bar. If no motion is detected, the standing up person icon and “no” will appear on the right-hand side of the control and status bar.

The status and control bar remains at the top of the Device page, when you click on either the Status and control or Settings tab.

Temperature

Observe a chart with the Shelly Motion 2 recorded temperature given in ºC/ºF (change this under Temperature Units). Above the temperature chart, you can select the time interval and the date from which you want data to be shown. The temperature chart shows the maximum and minimum temperature of the room throughout the chosen time interval. Below the temperature chart you have the option to download the temperature data by clicking the DOWNLOAD button. This downloads a table of your Shelly Motion 2 temperature data.

If a firmware update is available, then you will observe a "Firmware Update Available" text below the temperature chart. Click the UPDATE button to update your Shelly Device firmware.

Settings

Sensor Settings

Illumination Definitions

Set illumination values for dark and dusk. Values must be between 0 and 100000.

Motion Settings

  • Enable/disable the motion sensor.

  • Set the blind time of the motion sensor in minutes (from 1 to 1440) after the last detected motion. Press the SAVE button.

  • Select the sensor’s operating mode: Any / Dark / Twilight / Bright. Input the number of consecutive movements (from 1 to 4) for the sensor to detect before reporting motion. Press the SAVE button.

  • Set the motion detection threshold (from 1 to 256) using the slider. A lower value sets higher sensitivity. See motion detection percentage to the right of the slider.

Tamper Sensitivity

Set the temper alarm threshold (from 0 to 80) using the slider. See tamper alarm threshold percentage to the right of the slider.

Sleep Time

Set the number of seconds for the motion detection to pause. Press the SAVE button.

Temperature Units

Select ºC/ºF to be the units shown the temperature on the display.

Temperature Offset

Set the temperature offset. If you believe your sensor is showing the wrong temperature by a few degree Celsius/Fahrenheit, input the offset value so it displays the correct temp. The value must be between -10 and 10.

Temperature Threshold

Input a value in Celsius (ºC) for the threshold temperature change which will cause the Device to wake up and trigger a sensor data report. (Min: 0.5 ºC - Max: 5 ºC)

Schedule

Create a weekly schedule for the day(s) and time(s) you want the corresponding device to turn On/Off automatically. You may add up to 20 weekly schedules with 5 URLs each.
