Shelly 2.5 - Roller Shutter Mode

Status and Control

From left to right across the status and control bar, you see the Device image, name, and up/down button to control the cover. Directly below the status and control bar is the current Device voltage, power in watts, and whether the device is active.

START CALIBRATION

Click the START CALIBRATION button in order to calibrate the Device for the correct attitude.

Consumption

This tab only appears for Shelly Devices with power metering (PM) capabilities.

Observe a chart with the Shelly Device consumption displayed in watt-hours (Wh). Above the consumption chart, you can select the time interval and the date from which you want data to be shown. Below the consumption chart you have the option to download the consumption data by clicking the DOWNLOAD button. This downloads a table of your Shelly Device consumption data.

If a firmware update is available, then you will observe a "Firmware Update Available" text below the Consumption chart. Click the UPDATE button to update your Shelly Device firmware.

Settings

Schedule

Create a weekly schedule for the day(s) and time(s) you want the corresponding device to turn On/Off automatically. You may add up to 20 weekly schedules with 5 URLs each.

  • Select the day(s) of the week.

  • Choose time interval: time, sunrise, or sunset.

  • Set the time for the specified day(s):

    • Time: Click up/down button, or type in a number, to set a time in hours and minutes.

    • Sunset/Sunrise: The Shelly device may turn on/off automatically at sunrise/sunset, or at a specified time before or after sunrise/sunset. Click up/down button, or type in a number, to set a time in hours and minutes.

  • Select one of the two following option for the roller state/position. You cannot select them simultaneously.

    • Select roller state: Choose close/open from the dropdown menu.

    • Select roller position: Click and drag the slider to the desired position of the roller (seen as a percentage to the right of the slider).

This function requires a working connection to the Internet.

I/O Actions

Use events to trigger http endpoints. For each possible condition, click the Enable checkbox to enable the condition. Input up to 5 URLs per condition. The possible conditions are:

  • Roller open

  • Roller close

  • Roller stop

Safety

With power metering capabilities, the Shelly Device precisely monitors your appliances power consumption.

Max Power Protection

Configure Shelly Device to turn off when power consumption reaches a set value in watts (W). Please note the power range you can set is 0 W - 2300 W.

Obstacle Detection

Configure the roller movement if an obstacle is present:

  • Obstacle detection mode: Select one from the dropdown menu: Disabled / While opening / While closing / While moving.

  • Obstacle Detection Action: Select the action to perform when an obstacle is detected. Choose Stop/Reverse from the dropdown menu. If you select Reverse, the roller is reversed until the endpoint is reached.

  • Obstacle detection threshold: Input the power threshold fr obstacle detection in Watts (0 - 2300).

  • Obstacle detection delay: Input a value to delay obstacle detection activation in seconds (0 - 255).

Click the SAVE button to save any changes made.

Safety Switch

Configure the safety switch if an obstacle is present:

  • Safety switch mode: Select one from the dropdown menu: Disabled / While opening / While closing / While moving.

  • Obstacle Detection Action: Select the action to perform when an obstacle is detected. Choose Stop/Pause/Reverse from the dropdown menu. If you select Reverse, the roller is reversed until the endpoint is reached.

  • Allowed Commands: Select which commands are allowed while the Safety Switch is triggered. Choose one of the following from the dropdown menu: None / Open / Close.

Click the SAVE button to save any changes made.

Internet

Wi-Fi

Register the Shelly device to connect to up to 2 different Wi-Fi networks. Either input or select the Wi-Fi network. Can select an open network, and also set a static IP address. Enable Wi-Fi 1, or Wi-Fi 2, or both at the same time. If both Wi-Fi 1 and Wi-Fi 2 are enabled, and the Shelly device disconnects from one of the networks, it will connect to the other.

Access Point

Enable to configure the Shelly device to create a Wi-Fi AP and you can connect to its network. Can also set it to be an open network.

Wi-Fi AP Roaming

Click the Enable checkbox. Set the RSSI signal strength value below which the device will periodically scan for a better access point. Set a value between -50 to -90. Click the APPLY button to apply any changes made.

Restrict Login

Restrict the web interface of the device with a Username and Password.

Cloud

Enable to connect Shelly Device to its cloud. This allows you to control it remotely, and receive notifications and updates about your devices.

Application Settings

Consumption Calculation

If your device has power metering capabilities, this application settings is available. Enable/disable exclusion of device from total room/account consumption.

Pin Lock

Enable and set a device pin lock.

Sync Name

Keep the device name in sync with the name given in the app

Exclude From Event Log

Do not show event log reports for this device in the app.

Share

Input an email and share control of the Device with another Shelly Cloud user. The other user will only have access to the Device's power button (on/off), and be able to see the Device Information. The other user cannot see the other device settings.

Settings

Eco Mode

Device will consume less energy and run at a lower temperature. Device will reboot if you disable/enable this function.

Operation Mode

Set the Shelly Device to Relay or Roller Shutter mode.

  • Relay: This mode has ON and OFF states. It is applicable for various appliances such as Lights, Sockets, etc.

  • Roller Shutter: This mode is usable for different variants of Door and Window Rollers. It supports UP, DOWN, and STOP commands and provides different settings.

Power On Default

Select from the following:

  • Open: Configure Shelly Device to open when it has power.

  • Close: Configure Shelly Device to close when it has power.

  • Stop: Configure Shelly Device to stop when it has power.

Button Type

Select from the following to set button type:

  • Momentary - Press Button 1 to OPEN and Button 2 to CLOSE.

  • Toggle - Press Button 1 to OPEN and press again to STOP. Press button 2 to CLOSE and press again to STOP.

  • Detached Switch - Set this relay to be in “Detached” switch mode. Switch is separated from the relays.

  • Reverse inputs - If you enable this option, the buttons On/Off position will be inverted.

Open/Close Working Time

Configure this roller to automatically stop after a set number of seconds of opening and closing. Input a value between 0 to 120 seconds. Click the SAVE button to save any changes made.

Ends Delay

Configure roller to automatically stop after a set number of seconds of opening. Input a value between 0 to 10000 seconds. Click the SAVE button to save any changes made.

Input Buttons Configuration

Change the buttons configuration by selecting one of these two options:

  • One button: Every time Button 1 is pressed the roller will go to the next sequence step (Open/Stop/Close/Stop/…).

  • Open and Close Buttons: Use separate buttons for OPEN and CLOSE.

LED Status Disable

Enable/disable Wi-Fi status LED.

Swap Inputs

Click the checkbox to enable this option. The buttons Open/Close behaviour will be swapped.

Reverse Directions

Click the checkbox to enable this setting if the directions of movement do not match the direction in the interface.

Position Control

Click the checkbox to enable device calibration. Click the CALIBRATE button that appears in order to start calibration.

Geo Location And Time Zone

Set your time zone and geo-location manually, or enable/disable automatic detection.

Device Name

Change the current device name. This will reflect on the device name in the application if the “Sync name” application setting is enabled. Click the SAVE button to save any changes made.

Firmware Update

Shows your current firmware version. If a newer version is available, you can update your Shelly device by clicking the UPDATE button.

Factory Reset

Remove Shelly Device from your account and return it to its factory settings. This will delete all set data.

Device Reboot

Reboot your Shelly Device.

Device Info

Here you can view the ID, IP and other settings of your device.

Upon clicking Edit device, you can change the room, name or image of the device.
